Follow the Proceedings

In April 2024, Xcel Energy filed a combined Certificate of Need and Route Permit Application with the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (MPUC) proposing two route options for the project.

Receive email updates from the Commission by signing up on the edockets website.

1. Select “Subscribe to Dockets”
2. On the next page, enter your email address.
3. Select “Docket Number” as the “Type of Subscription.”
   1. To follow the Certificate of Need proceedings, enter 22-532, then select “Add to List”.
   2. To follow the Route Permit proceedings, enter 023-157 then select “Add to List”.
4. To follow both proceedings, follow Step 3 twice.
5. When finished, select “Save.”

Upcoming Events

Public hearings have been scheduled for May 27, 28, and 29, 2025 to provide feedback on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). There will be in-person and virtual hearings. The public hearing schedule and locations are below.
